My children are all huge parts of my life. Not all of my children are human. I have 3 fur-babies, well they aren't really babies anymore. They are all rescues and medium to large dogs. They may be considered Senior by the Vet, but they are babies to me! They like to cuddle and to play, but with all the moving parts of my life I don't always get to entertain them as much as I like. I'm always excited to get them new toys to help make up for the time I want to spend with them. Sure they get daily walks and play time, but as with my human babies it just never feels like enough.

Hot Milk Review
Having a baby is just the start of the circus that your life has now become. You will find yourself to be an expert juggler. Speaking of things you will be juggling you will find that a little assistance may be needed to juggle a few things that developed after having the baby. That's right I'm talking about the milk jugs you now carry around with you all day long. They can be a little uncomfortable and support is a welcome relief!

You can never know too much!
I don't know about you but I'm slowly beginning to hate whom ever came up with the question "Why". Between my kids and the daycare kids this question is a constant in my world. While the knowledge I find useful as a parent has vastly shifted from what I found useful in the career world it doesn't change the need to constantly be updating and researching new things to keep on top of what is current. That's why I think it is important as a mom to always be learning. If I don't know something I'm honest and say I don't, but that I will or we can look it up online if I think the answer will be quick and immediate.

First week of Fitness program is over! Shoot me now!
So, we are on day 9 of my push-up a day plus one New Year Resolution challenge that I've assigned myself. For the past 3 days I have failed to get past 7. It sucks, but was expected. I knew my challenge was potentially unattainable, but that isn't going to stop me in trying to get their. I may plateau at 7, but eventually that will lead to another climb in numbers. So, while I'm behind the year isn't over, even if my arms are feeling like they may be over the push-up challenge.
I've also been doing the Bikini Body Mommy 90 day work out and have stayed committed to this weeks video's. Some days I've literally taken the entire day to do a video, stopping between each exercise to do something with the kids. Some days I have not even done the work out until 10 or 11pm, but even with the exhaustion and late hour I wouldn't let myself fail and miss a day.
My body is screaming at me. My jiggles are developing jiggles, which is a good sign that its working and loosening that fat up! I also had a huge set back in my numbers or "scores". I realized about 2 days in that I was pushing my body to just do the motions and not to do them correctly. I was dropping my chest in squats, hunching over between touching the floor, raising my bottom during plank or other exercises involving the plank position and worst of all I was abusing my yoga form during stretches. Shifting weight to compensate or appear to have a deeper stretch, not listening to the order of stretches my body was asking for, and generally allowing it to cheat to get comfortable and not healthy were all abuse of the yoga form I once had. So, I've done less reps, felt more discomfort (pain is bad, discomfort is normal for me), and altered the cool down to go chaturanga to cobra, or bhujangasana, back to down dog repeat, then put the childs pose where she does the downward dog later in the cool down sequence. My body was feeling uneven and with the lack of proper form I was feeling it in my back so I listen and straightened myself up. I still did all the moves and only changed the cool down sequence to match my needs using her poses. So, I'm put up less scores, but I'm competing with myself and for me it's about getting back to healthy form, not having the highest score.
We have the weekend off, well as much as we can have it off with kids running about and the home remodel still going on, DIY unit! I'm sure my body won't notice we have 2 days without the program and will make sure to scream at me each day, but I'm going to let it scream. It isn't the healthy me's body that is screaming, its the bad habit out of shape me that is screaming, the fat on my body is screaming at my muscles freaking them out because the fat knows it's days are numbered and what my muscles don't yet know is that this is their big come back year! So, I'm going to let it scream a little and I'm going to learn to love the sound of that scream as I find the fit me once again!
I hope your sticking to your plan for the year, adjusting where you see the need, and not letting yourself excuse away your goals. Its not easy, this week has had a lot of crappy feelings come to surface and times where I just wanted to give up or slide back, but I've pushed through. It won't be the last week that sucks, but it will lead me to more good weeks when it is over than I would have if I don't do this for myself.
PS. Something that I need to remind myself is that I need to eat more banana's, my body will probably scream less if I do!

Company Communication Issues
I remember working at a few places and the hardest thing to deal with had nothing to do with the business itself, but all to do with communication. If you start or are a part of anything that deals with the population around you than at some point you will realize that it doesn't matter how great your services are if you can't talk to your clients about it. If you want to grow your company this issue is even greater. Now imagine being a client or customer on the other side of this communication issue. No matter how you look at it, the problem is prohibiting.
So, when you are facing communication issues on a basic level you need to correct the problem. You can hire people who are polyglots, but it may not be possible to have them on hand all the time for every language and situation. That's when you have to find someone who offers translations services. Their are some things to consider when making your choice in whom to use for your services.
First, what are the primary language needs that your clients have? Chances are their is more than one language a client has a need in so narrowing it down to the most needed and noting the others is important. Now that you have your list evaluate the cost in hiring someone for each of those needs, frequency of use, and the cost of a translation company. You may find that hiring someone for the #1 language on your list makes the most sense for your company. I would bet that past maybe your top #3 it wouldn't make sense to have a full time staffer for each language. You may not even find it to be beneficial to have anything past the #1 language in your needs list.
Next, look for a company based on the services you need and what they offer. Do they offer translation in just one communication method or a variety of methods. Some companies only offer group translation while others offer one on one only. I personally think finding a company that offers both is the best way to cover all potential issues. You also need to consider the area of specialty in which your translator best operates. You don't want a legal translator trying to make sense out of medical translations. Making sure you have the right company to meet your needs is important.
Lastly, look at cost. Decide in your business plan how much you can through at this problem to resolve it. Setting aside a specific amount of money based on need, frequency, and available funds will narrow down your choices as you seek a professional. Remember that often you get what you pay for, but never want to over pay so middle to high middle of the cost spectrum is probably the best bet for your dollar.
If your looking for a way to help move the company you work for forward to expand your clientele than I would start by looking at communication and then go from their. You can't have a client if you can't somehow speak their language.

Started my Workout program today!
So, I've been working on getting fit this year. Today I did my day 5, 5 push-ups and struggled on the last push-up. It will be an uphill battle from here. I also started the work-out program I'm using to get myself started on my physical journey. I'm using a 90 day work out by Bikini Body Mommy. I like her set up since she is a mommy of 3 like me and she does the work outs with you showing her own progress with the program. Today was the fit test and I honestly thought it would be a piece of cake. Honestly, after either of my first two kids it would have been, however their is a reason I'm working on this Resolution and it showed. I found myself winded or feeling the test. It was very humbling that my body in it's age and my abuse of it is having such a hard time getting back into shape.

Resolution Time!
So, this year I'm making the same commitment that so many others make each year. I'm going to get into better shape. After having my first two kids the weight literally fell off. I just had my 3rd in July and despite having better success with breastfeeding the weight never left. So, I'm joining the billions of others and making the Resolution to get into shape. How am I going to do this? Like every success story you have to have a plan and mine offers me two goals. This way I give myself two chances of success. One of my goals I don't expect to fully succeed with, but I want to have a gold ring to reach for to drive me forward.
