Top 10 Local Area Landmarks

Vote Now in Round Two and Determine the Top Landmark to be Featured and Unveiled as Part of the New LEGO® MINILAND Installation

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Arizona today announced the results of the public vote that determined the top ten landmarks that Arizona residents’ requested to be included in the MINILAND installation. The new MINILAND area at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Arizona, will feature local landmarks recreated in miniature form, using millions of LEGO® bricks.

The top ten landmarks identified by the public in the first round include (in alphabetical order):

·         Arizona State Capitol

·         Chase Field

·         Grand Canyon

·         Mill Avenue District

·         Montezuma Castle National Monument (Sedona)

·         Old Town Scottsdale

·         Tempe River and Beach Park

·         U.S. Bank Center

·         University of Phoenix Stadium

·         Wrigley Mansion + Biltmore Hotel

Round two of voting for the MINILAND installation asks fans to choose one of the top ten landmarks. The winning landmark will be announced on Monday, Dec. 21 and unveiled at a special event prior to LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Arizona’s grand opening at Arizona Mills next spring. Voting is available through LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Arizona’s Facebook page, from Thursday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 18.
