As kids develop one of the hardest skills for a mom to deal with is the hand eye coordination when it comes to a little one who suddenly realizes they can throw. Outside it's not so bad, hand them a ball and a target and clear the area a bit and your set, inside is a different story. Is there a good place for this activity really? Maybe, I found one.....
Nuby sent me the Fish Swoosh which is a basket ball hoop and three fish balls that can all go inside the bathtub! This means they can work on this skill in an enclosed area that usually doesn't have many breakables other then a potential sibling. I love this because I can localize this activity without fully removing it from the house so it is still explored on those not so outside friendly days. Both my son and my daughter love to take some shots while taking their bath.
Clean up is easy since it attaches to the wall and the net can be pulled closed thus containing the three fish in the next for the next game! The fish can be used as regular tub toys as well for times when the fish in your tub doesn't want a game of hoops. I like it because while they are focused on making their shot, I can wash armpits and under chins since both raise up to take a shot at the basket. I can't say that I haven't taken part in a few games of baby horse myself once the little bodies are squeaky clean either! Makes bath more fun for me!
