It's a Blue Jean Queen!

It’s about that time of year for kids to explore their alter-ego’s, mom’s to go crazy trying to create a super cool costume that is cost effective, and candy to wave it’s magic wand of desire adding a lb or two to each parents hips! So, how do we give our kids the costume they want without breaking the budget? I say find out what they want to be, and then get creative! Once you have a goal, head to your closet/goodwill pile/or the local thrift store and find the cheapest or in best shape with maybe one hole pair of jeans you can find. Now, we get to creating!

I'm a blogging nerd!

So, I'm not sure this is Kosher, but I'm very excited about being asked to be a moderator for the Mom's Blog Society! I naturally did a stupid little dance, which caused a chain reaction of little one's doing a variety of their own little dances. Then, as I erupted in excited giggles, they followed suit. I paused for a quick game of copy cat; until the little ones once again found me boring and dispersed to their land of make believe. I accepted and went on the Mom Blog Society site to see my blog listed under Moderators!

Monster Hands for Dinner!

Keeping up with our disgusting meal menu why not eat some Monster Hands?! This meal is a great way for the parents to get a good (maybe we made this before kids meal) in, made in a way kids will actually eat. An everyday meal can be made into something season specific and fun. I have found in cooking this way that kids often will eat whatever it is because it looks a specific way and is presented as something spooky even if it’s something they normally wouldn’t otherwise touch! Speaking of touching and using our hands let’s get started on making some Monster Hands to have for dinner.
