If I want to have it fitted, smaller or larger, then I have to take it to a store and have bands either added to the watch or taken away from the watch. The leather means no pinching or band removals! Big plus, The large face means it's easier to see the time and looks good on your husband, masculine and large; or on you making your wrist look small and feminine.
The water resistant feature means that it can hold up to a run through the rain to the car or to the baby drooling from teething. This is nice, because you can't always predict either event and no one wants to worry about a watch breaking from either event.
