2 Longest Lasting Super Bright Rim Lights - Personalized LED Colorful Wheel Lights Review

It is hot in AZ, but we haven't quite gotten the night light hours yet.  So, to keep things cool we go outside early in the day and then again late in the evening.  This way we still get the outside time and some Vit. D, but don't get burned in the process.  The problem is that the kids want to ride their bikes and I don't trust other people to slow down on a cul-de-sac.  For this reason we teach the kids to get on the side walk when ever they see a car at all, but I also want to make sure the cars see them. So, reflectors on the tires, and light colored bikes help, but why not add a little more?
Mommy Moments like Abby's review of Longest Lasting Super Bright Rim Lights:  When I first obtained this product I wanted to surprise my daughter by putting these on and letter her see them work once she started pedaling.  I waited until nap and then put them on.  It was super easy, just take off the black cap the the air on the tires.  Put on the silver one these come with and then attach these on top of that.  Took me just a minute or two to get them on.  I put the multi-colored one's on her bike so she could have some rainbow wheels!  That night she set off pedaling and nothing happened!  So, I emailed the company.  They were great polite and offered to help me find a solution to my issue.  Here is where it gets really stupid, at least on my end.  So, here I am all upset at the lack of a best mom ever moment and I find out it was instead a major mom fail moment.  In the nicest way possible, basically promise to help me than stating the obvious, they company asked if I had taken the paper that sits between the battery and connector so it won't accidently burn the battery out if moved during shipping since movement is what turns the flasher on and off.  Umm, paper on battery, ya I hadn't even looked at that!  I apologized and thanked them for not pointing out my mom  fail.  So, battery paper removed, we tried this again!  Success!  She was so excited at her light up bike!  The faster she goes the more it looks like their is an entire circle of lights on her wheels.  No one can miss her now!

So, other than my moment of stupidity, this product works great.  It makes my daughter more visible as she rides in the dusk lighting.  While I will still watch with an eagle eye, teach not to be in the road at all when a car is coming even if we do live at the end of the cul-de-sac, and dress her in light colors at night, it is nice to know that now her light up wheels will be in the mix.  You can't be too safe with these little ones and you can't trust others will be watching, I like that a little light can help them take notice though!
Just remember to take the paper off the battery and light up your bike!
