I love fresh scents. It drives me nuts when you are in line somewhere and the person in front of you has on a scent that is over powering and has a touch of the strong-because-I've-been-over-processed-and-on-the-counter-too-long fumes. It follows you in a bad way out the door sometimes and you didn't even put it on! That drives me nuts. I prefer classic scents. Ones that are fresh and offer a hint of a smell to others instead of assaulting their nostrils!
Mommy Moment's with Abby's review of School of Wash's Fragrance: I was very excited to receive this product! They offer a huge range of potential scents and your product isn't made until it's ordered! I like this since that means it will smell cleaner and not stale, along with a longer shelf life.
I ordered the Dry Oil perfume in Lilly of the Valley. This isn't my usual scent, I usually wear Egyptian Rose, but I wanted to have something for date nights or just to switch it up from time to time. I believe in having a signature scent, after all it has been shown that smells can be linked to memories and with a signature scent you can offer yourself and others the potential to access memories by having the signature scent on hand(or body in this case). That said sometimes you need to have something to help cleanse the pallet in your nose by switching it up, or a second signature scent for special occasions. I enjoy the romantic smell of this and since it was so fresh it smelled as though I was holding the flower in my hand instead of through a perfume.
The second product I ordered was the Hair and Body Spritz in Tea Rose. Still a rose scent, but this version of rose is more of a through back scent. It reminds me of a time of morality, romance, and when being well read was an asset opposed to now, where knowing all the shows on TV will help you win a trivia contest. I really enjoy this as a subtle change from my normal Egyptian Rose scent. Sometimes I need more of a subtle change, something that will be noticed by my husband, but in more of a way of mystery than a blunted switch. This way he will feel like something is different, but not quite able to put his finger on it.
The body sprintz is a great option for those mid-day applications where the morning application has faded, but applying a full perfume dose would be too much for the hour of the day. It adds just enough to freshen your scent, but not enough to distract you or others. I really loved how present these scents were and how fresh they smelled. It is also a great perk to have so many different scents to pick from in order to make sure you get that signature scent that just fits your life and who you are.
