Naturebox Review

Great the holiday season is here and I love baking, issue this year is I have to fit into a wedding dress at the end of this year.  Plus, I should probably find kid healthier snack.  Don't get me wrong they love stuff like fishes, but if I'm honest when nap time rolls around fishes turn into mommy-crack with a larger supply needed on those rip your hair out kids have all gone nuts days.  So, in the interest of my hips and the kids health I'm looking for new snacks to offer the kids (and my hips).  Thus, my acceptance to test out a box of snacks from Naturebox.

Let's start by explaining just what Naturebox is: NatureBox is a subscription service that offers a box similar to what I received of healthy snacks on a monthly basis.  On top of offering a healthy snack alternative NatureBox is also looking to feed the hungry.  For every NatureBox sent out, together we’re helping to feed the hungry. NatureBox donates one meal for every box to feed the over 14 million children in America who go hungry every year.  I don't know about you but it sure seems to help my digestion if when I'm satisfying my hunger I know that by using the product I am I'm helping someone else who is hungry satisfy their hunger.

Enough about the company let me tell you what I thought of the product.  I was sent a box with a few different items in it.  I received the: Pistachio Power Clusters, Umami Roasted Nuts, Big Island Pineapple, Apple Orchards Granola, and Toasted Sesame Stix.

Pistachio Power Clusters are made from a blend of pistachios, almonds, and cashews with a touch of sea salt.  Can I just say where has this been all my life!  Unfortunately for me even a good fat can eventually go to a bad one which prevents me from eating them at every meal, but the good fat does allow me to get full with a boost of energy and tastes amazing.  Seriously, this is my new mommy-crack only without the guilt!  I only wish I had a years supply to store away in the pantry!

The next snack I tried was Umami Roasted Nuts.  Normally, nuts are so salty and these nuts offer that same salty nutty taste without the added sodium which my heart says "Thank you" to!  You can add it to food, but I just ate it on it's own.  I put a small bowl in the counter to grab one or two out of when I needed to stave off feeling hungry or get a boost of protein energy.  The kids' didn't even notice that I switched the nuts on them!

Toasted Sesame Stix are one of those things that you either love or you hate.  If you don't like Sesame Stix then don't get these but if you do, these taste amazing.  I personally like that peanut-y, similar to a Thai Peanut sauces peanut, taste.  I pop these like candy because I love that taste.  Plus, any mom who has had kids probably needs the added calcium boost to put some of what was taken out during pregnancy.  To me, they are very filling and I only need a few to tide me over when I'm running after those kiddo's.

I love granola and use it when I make the kids parfaits for breakfast.  Apple Orchards Granola is perfect for the fall.  The addition of apple and cinnamon made sweeter by the agave they care coated in made for a perfect parfait or morning cereal.  It was a little too moist to be added to a trail mix, but perfect as a heated cereal on those cold days.  The taste was perfect for these turning of the season mornings, where even in AZ the early mornings can get chilly.  I'll be honest, I would probably eat this year round though and not just during the Fall/Winter months.  Now, if were only sold in bulk at Costco..........

Big Island Pineapple are you basic dried pineapple.  Now, I'm not a big pineapple person, but I did notice that these seemed more chewy than other dried pineapples that I have tried.  They offered the same sweetly tart pineapple taste of a fresh pineapple and while they aren't my favorite out of all of them I could see how anyone who loves pineapple would love these.

The products in the box are made of wholesome ingredients and have been Nutritionist-approved. The food contains: No High Fructose Corn Syrup, No Partially
Hydrogenated Oils, No Trans Fats, No Artificial Sweeteners, No Artificial Flavors, No Artificial Colors.  Sounds like a recipe for "No Taste", right.  In fact it is just the opposite, but I digress my analysis of the food will come later.

If you want to get some of these for yourself use the promo code APPLE25 may be used for 25% off your first month of subscription (please note that the 25% discount is only applicable to the month-to-month subscription. 6 month subscriptions receive 1 month free and 12 month subscriptions receive 3 months).  Nature Box is always looking for nutritionists, healthy living professionals, and healthy
snacking enthusiasts to share tips, tricks, and ideas for making healthier choices. If
