This post brought to you by SAVE . All opinions are 100% mine.
I clicked on it and found that they have more than $600 in savings to theme parks, animal adventures, top shops and historic tours, plus great deals on hotels. It would seem that San Antonio has grown from my days of a few waterparks, Seaworld, and the Alamo! They had an accommodation for every price range and need, which is important to a mom with dogs. Some of their offers are Limited Time Offers, which means that bargain hunters will be signing up for places like Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the Riverwalk, San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk Hotel, Hilton Palacio del Rio, The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio, SeaWorld, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Schlitterbahn, Splashtown, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, and San Antonio Botanical Garden.
Now as a Birder who also has dogs I would use SAVE – San Antonio Vacation Experience for a hotel that allows for dogs that is close to places that are dog friendly and potential bird spots! I would take a trip staying at Holiday Inn Express Rivercenter Area which is pet friendly, then I would plan a trip to the Desert Botanical Garden which is also pet friendly to see what birds we could spot. From here I would take the family for an evening at Splashtown San Antonio’s movie night to cool off and catch a flick with the family! The next day I would head out to the San Antonio's Official Visitor Information Center to see about more birding spots. From here I would take the kids to one of my favorite childhood water park the Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resorts. I would end our night and our trip with a walk and dinner at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk which is said to have a great chef and being on the Riverwalk makes for a great afterdinner walk! We would then head home early the next morning ending out my imaginary San Antonio trip!

It's summer and I'm constantly trying to think of close vacation spots for the family. Being birders, naturally the thought of Texas has crossed my mind as it's a birding hotspot. Plus, I lived there for a few years as a kid and am always curious on what has changed. So, my first stop in looking at Texas was my old childhood playground of San Antonio, Texas. They have a program called SAVE – San Antonio Vacation Experience. Who doesn't like to save, right?
