This product is superior because it literally covers the entire toilet and keeps your child germ free.  If you've even been in a public place with a child that is potty training, has just been potty trained, or  is just a curious child, then you know all about what I am about to say.  I have the curious child.  She wants to see everything-restrooms included.  It seems like every time we enter a new place my youngest wants to use the potty.  Let me draw a clearer picture:  Not only do we have to go potty all the time (usually out of curiosity-not need), my child also manages to touch every disgusting surface-like the side of the toilet when getting on and off the seat. Some kids have to hold on to the side of the toilet seat-or they will loose their balance.  Some might fall in without that stability (just kidding, kinda). 
Have you ever noticed that your child's underwear and pants/skirt often brush up against the front of the toilet and even slide in between the seat and the bowl?  It happens-their legs are short and they can't help it.  Unfortunately, sometimes the person before you has "hovered" over (to avoid germs) and has 'missed'.  This means that there could be urine or worse on the seat itself.    This cover protects your child from the nasty germs found on public toilets.  Let's be honest.  The germs on public toilets are scary.  It's nothing you want to expose to anyone, especially not your child. I have tried other toilet seat covers; one provided as a courtesy by some stores (thin), ones I bought at a local store (rough) , and now these (wonderful).  I have to tell you-these are the very best choice!  Here's why:
