This can be an issue for some guitar straps that have holes for pegs. Luckily this strap came with the holes, plus a string for just this purpose. It was easy to attach the strap to my guitar. I've been trying to learn guitar for years now balancing it on my knee with kiddo's running about my legs and it has made for a slow and tricky project. Not having to have a leg up so I could use my knee made this a lot easier. The cotton strap is nice and thick for comfort on my shoulder. It allowed me to let go of the guitar when I needed to stop strumming to work with the kiddo's. It placed the weight more on my core and my back instead of my arms and my leg making it easier for me to place the cords on the guitar. I'm not sure if the music I was trying to play sounded any better, but it was easier to play! If you are a beginner like me or if you have been playing for a while this is a great way to keep your instrument safely attached to you while you create whatever music is in your heart!
