SleepBuddy Review

The hardest part about switching from a crib to a bed is teaching your little one when to stay in bed and when it's time to get up.  I love using reward systems with kids.  This allows them to see how good they are doing and provides a visible goal for them to achieve.  Now, finding something to combine a reward system with a signal for them to know when to be in bed and when to get up?
Mommy Moments with Abby's review of Sleep Buddy's Sleep System:  So, my daughter transitioned easily from her crib to her bed.  My son may not be the same story.  For one he is a restless sleeper and two gets up at the crack of dawn and I'm not unconvinced that the crib isn't what keeps him from destroying his room.  So, I've been looking for solutions.
I was excited to check out this product since it combines the timed nightlight and an achievement chart.  This way he can watch his achievements grow and have something he can look at that will tell him when its alright to get up and when it's still sleep time.  The night light is on a timer that goes on when the kids are to be in bed.  This can be for nap or night use.  It goes off when it's alright to get up.  So, if they wake up at night you already have a night light in case they need to go potty, the only reason to get out of bed when the light is on.  When it goes off they can get out of bed and get ready for their day!
The fun story book introduces this idea to the kids.  This makes for a great set up: story, light on, light off, chart progress.  It may take a few tries for them to remember and understand the routine, but once in place this is a great tool for helping keep little one's in bed so they can get the rest their bodies need!  Remember a 2 year old still need around 14 hours of sleep a day! Lets help them get it with products like these!
