The Hubby got up and was out of the house before 5am Friday the 26 of May, 2012. He went to Madera Canyon and King's Canyon to see the early morning birds. He got some amazing sights! Check out what he saw:
At Santa Rita Lodge Feeders he saw Acorn Woodpeckers:
Broad Billed Woodpecker at the Santa Rita Feeders
Mountain Spiny Lizard on the Carrie Nation Trail
Santa Rita Feeders in Madera Canyon an some sort of Swallow
Carrie Nation Trail in Madera Canyon, do you see the bird outline? Can you guess what it is?
That's right it's an Elegant Trogan!!!!!!!!
Hermit Thrush Carrie Nation Trail Madera Canyon
House Finch Santa Rita Lodge Feeders in Madera Canyon

Despite falling while going after the Elegant Trogon and injuring his knee, he had a huge birding day. Like they always say the early bird gets the worm and in this case, the early husband gets his bird!
