I used this for five days to test it properly. While it wasn't a curry week or a crab week, my fridge smells were none the less dampened. The air itself had an almost ionized smell. It's the same smell my other air purifiers in the house put out as well and I can't think of another way to describe it that ionized, it's not really a metallic scent or anything else that I can distinguish. It's not a bad smell at all so don't get me wrong more of a sterile smell, which for me is nice when you're day is full of smells. I'm not sure if it elongates the life of my food because it has only been five days, but it does make opening the fridge something where I don't worry about it bothering a headache or sensitive subject. That said, it may create an issue when the kids get older of them not wanting to shut the door thus creating the new issue of standing in the fridge with the door open for long periods of time. If that happens, I will probable cook more Curry and turn it off!
If you have a smelly fridge try it out for yourself and comment below, I love to hear other experiences with products I try even if it's different than my own.
