Product Review: Takeya Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve

Can you tell the difference in what you drink something out of?  How about do you care what the container is made of and if it is environmental friendly?  I honestly never thought about it or cared, what I did care about was that I love to go hiking and need something to hold my water or that I run a daycare and have to have something that closes to help avoid spills. I have since having kids, however, seen the world through second hand eyes.  For my followers, you will know that when I look at things I see what they can become and that's where my crafts come from, if you are not a follower check out my craft postings for ways that I turn trash to treasure.  Now, what does all of this have to do with what I drink from?


I received a glass water bottle with a screw shut lid and, the best part, is like my crafts, made from glass that has been recycled going from someones trash to my current treasure.  Plus, it is dishwasher safe making it easy for me to clean.  I could fit my ice cubes in the mouth of it, which living in Arizona, is very important.  I also loved how I could see how much was left by looking at the view-able window.   Now, I'm not sure if water tastes different in a glass vs the normal cup, but will say that their is something about holding a nice cool glass with a thermal wrapping when you are chasing after a bunch of kids and dogs that just helps calm a moment and relax a day.  As far from the taste, the jury is still out, but ponder this; given the choice between a coke in a glass bottle and one in a can, which would you prefer?  I know I'd rather have the glass because it doesn't have a metallic taste to it.
