Under the Sea: The Octopus and Me!
School is in session and let the kiddie crafting begin! To explore some of the fun places people go in the summer why not learn about some under the sea animals?! What might you see if you lived under the sea? What do you see at an aquarium? What sea creature has the most legs that you've seen? All are great questions to spark learning and crafting is a great way to back up those valuable lessons and explore problem solving with a dash of creativity!

Bath Toy Organizer Set by Bath Time Fun
I don't know about you but bath-time is playtime for my kids, but those darn bathtoys like to collect non-clean mildew and other grossness. Not very mommy friendly. I have gone through a few different bath holders and either they start to get gross because they aren't all mesh. Then their are the little suction cup hooks that I usually hang the loafa's with always seem to fall down or to not hold on to the power of a 2 year old grip.

Recycled Bones!
I am always looking for ways to keep the kids busy, maybe learn a little bit in the process, and making a holiday decoration is always a bonus. So, what do you do when you have kids with busy fingers at home? Raid the recycle bin and make a fun friend!
Trick or Treat bag!
Each year we end up getting new Halloween buckets. Last years end up lost, broken because they are cheap, or somehow as decorations for the house. So, why not make your own that can be used year after year?

Label your Little one!!
So, it's my first borns' first time going to school away from me! I have gone back and forth between being completely excited and proud of the kid she is becoming; to an emotional mess who isn't ready to let her out in that big bad world. To avoid the emotions I have been busying myself with getting her ready. I have gotten all her supplies, first day of school outfit, meet the teacher outfit, back up supplies, showing her the pictures online of her teacher, talking about how to handle not nice kids, pretty much anything that comes to mind to keep myself from the emotional side of it. After spending all this money though the last thing I want is for her stuff to get lost or taken by mistake so do I ruin it by dragging out the Sharpie?

Hairstyles: Punky Pony

We started by taking her hair and dividing it about the middle of her eyes. We combed down the sides and combed the section in the middle back. I then took the middle section and took a section in the front that was large enough to start a braid with. I braided her hair 3-4 times and then added more hair from the middle section. I did this until we were at the back end of the crown of her head. This is where I stopped adding hair. I continued to braid the hair all the way to the end.
A few weeks ago my daughter had, what she called, her first big girl birthday party. I think she called it this because she is starting school soon and she got to pick out her friends present at the store. She wanted to look her best and kept asking me to do different hair styles for her to see what she wanted to wear to the party.

Tree of Growth Autumn fun!
Kids grow up so fast! Each season it seems like they have already changed so much that the moments I just had are already being replaced with new moments. Trying to capture those moments can be hard, but with some kid powered imagination it can also be a lot of fun!

Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss!
I love to make boxes into something else! So, when I get a big box the hardest part isn't, where to put it or how to break it down, but what will this become? Many times, I find myself turning to the most creative sources I know, the kids! They look at a box and see possibility. Usually a few idea's instantly come pouring out of their little brains. Then, I just have to pick which one is the best fit for our box.

Window Cling fun!
It can be hard to decorate the windows for Halloween. So many of the decorations are more adult in theme. The Blood splatters, creepy creatures and such can be a little much for a little one. So, let's make some window clings that are kid friendly and fun!

Warrior 3 Pose/Virabhadrasana 3 Pose
This weeks’ yoga pose is Warrior 3/Virabhadrasana 3. When doing Warrior 3/Virabhadrasana 3 with kids remember to never push them past their abilities and be very careful with this pose as it’s easy to get hurt! Each week, 2-3 days, we do a 15 minute yoga work out in my home daycare. Kids from 1 1/2 to 4 do this and while each does as much as they are able and in a way they are capable of they all get a nice stretch, a scheduled work out time, and some fun new body movements. We do the sun salutations and then add a few jumps, hops, new yoga pose, and teacher assisted somersaults at the end.

Hair Metal Goes Lullaby Review

Sometimes putting the kids to sleep seems to make me more tired then them. I need something to help my brain stay awake while soothing them and creating a calm environment.
WEXY Snack Bags

My kids are the worst eaters sometimes. My son is better than my daughter, but he sometimes follows her picky eater lead. I'm always looking for ways to help encourage them to eat. From hiding things in food to making the food look like a spider or other fun thing, a mom has to bring out all the stops to encourage good eating for your kids.
