Cooper: A Rescue Dog's Tale Review

We love our fur-babies.  It is important for kids to understand that love comes in all forms and from all places.  Even though someone or somethings start isn't a happy one, the ending can be amazingly full of love if they create it with others.  Learning tools that help teach this method and utilizes their fun artistic side are always welcome.

Slow Cooker Recipes for Beginners: 55 Fast and Easy Slow Cooker Recipes to Lose Weight Fast [Kindle Edition ebook]

My kids have become obsessed with Master Chef Junior.  Specifically, my daughter who we have called Miss Cakes since she was a baby.  True to her name, she loves to bake.  It can be hard to make a nice dinner though while running around with the needs of the day.  Especially when the little's are doing a bulk of the work.  So, a crock pot meal is perfect, we start it and set it up in the morning while working on measurements, addition, subtraction, and other number recognition, plus dinner is ready once we get home after whatever event we have going on that evening.  This mom can't think up recipes off the top of her head so a little help is always welcome.

The Compassionate Warrior Book Review

The news constantly shows us the horrors of the world.  I have seen and met a lot of people who generalize, lump together, and describe entire cultures or types of people based on the actions of a few or events from the past.  I find it interesting how we allow these to occur for some and not for others.  So, the best way to understand some group or someone is to look at the history.  You can look at the bad, or you can look at the good, or you can look at both.  The best option is to look at both to fully understand someone.  This leads me to my review about Adb El-Kader of Algeria.

Howard B. Wigglebottom on Yes or No Book Review

Teaching books are probably one of my favorite things.  They offer children the opportunity to explore their imagination with a guided visual and verbal suggestions.  Throw in the message you are trying to teach them and you are helping those little brains expand, grow, and carve new pathways.  Who loves books and has two thumbs?  This MOM!

Sophia the Giraffe Review

I love books!  I think they are a great gift for young kids, babies, and parents to be!  Either the parents can read to their growing babies in-utero or they can read to their babies as they grow and learn once born.  Like I always say, you can never have too many books!

Hugo the Happy Starfish: The Power of the Word ebook Review

One of the hardest lessons to teach kids early on is the power of words.  Teaching them how words can hurt and that we need to be careful of what we say when we are feeling emotions like anger, pain, sadness may cause damage to someone else that we don't intend to harm.  Explaining that like actions you can't take back words is even harder.  So, to help explain this message to kids we can use books.

Hugo the Happy Starfish: It's good to be me ebook review

Books, books, and more books!  We love to read here and I'm always looking for stories to teach the kids lessons and get their attention with.  I personally like to themed lunch readings with them, where I read 2 books with similar themes and then ask which is their favorite and why.  It opens up a great meal time discussion!

Bubblegum Princess Review

Reading to our kids is one of the best things we can do as parents to help our children develop grammar, their imaginations, and a lot of other skills they need in their life.  It doesn't cost much and with libraries can be free.  Plus, it doesn't matter what level your education is, if you can read to yourself you can read to your kids.

Running a family, let alone a daycare, means having to teach Character education to a variety of ages constantly.  That's why I'm always looking for learning tools that will help me achieve this goal.  I think that a children's book about bullying is a great tool for this exact goal.

Joy of Giving Review

I love books!  I love books for me, the kids, the hubby, a good book can drive knowledge, imagination, inspiration, and if it's a recipe book, dinner.  I'm very used to the standard type of kids books, a fun storyline, few words per page, and a good message.  This book has a fun storyline, surprisingly no words are needed, and a good message, but this book is different in how it was created.
