Classically Comfortable

It's time for another Mom Fashion moment.  I like to be comfortable now that I have kids.  No more uncomfortable shoes or outfits because they look amazing.  Mobility is at the speed my bomb shoes allow. Nope, those days are gone.   If I can't run, juggle, or lift a small elephant while wearing it, it has no place in my wardrobe.  Sadly this leaves me with a lot of less than adorable outfits.  I have been trying to reclaim a little of my style without hindering my "mom" game.

Boho Braid Crown

What is there to do but hair right now?   No one can go to the salon we are all looking a little shaggy right about now.  So, let's have fun with your hair!  You will need a lot of patience, a few kid-appropriate expletives, I say Crimony a lot, skittles to bribe a child into being still,  and don't forget the hair supplies!  We had some fun with this super fun go-to braid crown.  I like this hairstyle because as the bangs grow out you can just add them into the braid across the front to keep them off the eyes!

Braid Flower Basket

Can you guess what we are doing with our hair again?  That's right, BRAIDS!!!  This time we felt inspired by our seriously fun dress and decided to create a braid look around a flower that is as sunny as our dress!

Which way braid crown

We are very into braids right now, in case the recent posts weren't making that obvious.  So, we got creative with this braid set up.  It is a nice braid crown into a ponytail, perfect for this hot weather we are having.

Hairstyles: Punky Pony

We started by taking her hair and dividing it about the middle of her eyes.  We combed down the sides and combed the section in the middle back.  I then took the middle section and took a section in the front that was large enough to start a braid with.  I braided her hair 3-4 times and then added more hair from the middle section.  I did this until we were at the back end of the crown of her head.  This is where I stopped adding hair.  I continued to braid the hair all the way to the end.

A few weeks ago my daughter had, what she called, her first big girl birthday party.  I think she called it this because she is starting school soon and she got to pick out her friends present at the store.  She wanted to look her best and kept asking me to do different hair styles for her to see what she wanted to wear to the party.

Virgin Argan Oil

I used to be up on fashion, or at least able to give it a run for it's money, but since having kids I'm not sure I'm even in the race.  That doesn't mean I'm not still trying to take care of myself or teach my children how to care for themselves.  In fact, since having kids I find myself looking for things to use for them so they won't have to figure it out later.

It Brands Hairspray Review

I try to do my hair from time to time.  Put it up in a bun, braid it, even a pony tail gets destroyed after a few hours with the kids.  It would be nice if I could get my hair to just stay once and a while.

Qoileez Review

I can't get enough of those multipurpose items!  It makes my mind feel good when I know I'm paying money for something that I will use more than once and that can function in more than one situation, thus saving me the money I would have spent on items for each situation.

Kisspat Hair Color Chalk

Time for some summer fun!  That means getting colorful!  We have dress-up days where we dress-up, face paint, and now put some fun colors in our hair!  Best part is, it all washes off in the kiddy pool later that day!

Why you should get a professional cut once and a while

Most of you know through my how to's on Mom Blog Society's YouTube channel that I usually cut and dye my own hair.  This has saved me a ton of money and I've done pretty well at it, but when making a major change I always recommend going into a salon and having them do it.  Use it as an opportunity to treat yourself and go to a professional salon.

Emz Baby Bowz Review

I don't know about you, or honest where they come from most of the time, but my daughter has a ton of things for her hair.  She has more than I do and she is only 3!  So, where in the world do you put them all?  She loves to put them in at random so it has to be someplace where I can easily put them back and she can easily take them down for her hair.  Thus, we introduce my latest review:

Fairytale Product Review

My kids just got their first non-mom hair cuts a week ago for our Vow Renewal.  While there I checked out their kid products and, always one looking for multi-purposed products, I saw the line of Fairy Tale Products on their shelf!

Made from Earth Conditioner Review

I've been in the pool a lot lately, trying to add some extra weight loss before the wedding in December.  This means my hair has been getting dryer and dryer.  Made from Earth asked me to review their conditioner and I figured it couldn't hurt!

Malibu Swimmers Hair Care Review

Summer isn't over and if you have been in the pool all summer like I have your hair is getting mad!  I already live in a hot environment which loves to dry my hair out, but going in the pool as much as I do to cool off and my hair feels the brunt of my indulgence.  While having dry cracky hair is a problem, it's a bigger problem when you are planning two weddings!  Yeah, can't have bad hair on the big hair.  So, finding a solution for the pool damage is needed!

Cureology Serenity Illumination Shine Review

Sometimes a mom's hair looks flat or her color looses it's umph and needs a little something to bring it back.  I have found that using a shine product can be a quick way to add some life into a hairstyle.  I love using shine for those classic non-messy up-dues as I feel it gives the hair a more healthy look.  Check out my thoughts on Cureology's Serenity Illumination Shine:
