FatCats Review

We wanted to have one final fun filled day before my daughter started her first day of school.  One of our favorite things to do as a family is to go bowling.  So, we headed out to the newest place to bowl, FatCats.  Check out our trip!

Disney's Princess and Pirate Excitement!

We went to see Disney's Princess and Pirate show.  It was packed!  There were kids everywhere and they were all excited to see their favorite characters.  Many of the kids, and adults, were dressed up!  My daughter wanted to dress up as Sophia, so I found her a flower-girl dress off ebay to wear.  She loved it!  We did her hair, she got to wear lip-gloss and paint her nails, she got to bring her furry jacket, she got to wear her bracelet and her purple necklace, plus her fancy shoes and she was in total Sophia the First mode!  My son allowed me to put strips on him, but that was the extend of his dress up.

Phoenix Symphony Review

photo 1292013002_zpsa6d78e19.jpg I'm always looking for something fun to do with the kids.  I like to expose them to a vast array of experiences so they can better decide what they like and don't like when they are older.  Luckily for us, the local symphony puts on kids productions.  It was a blast!

AMF Bowling Review

PhotobucketFamily night and we are facing another night of Finding Nemo or Cars 2, awesome.  As good as those movies are when you've seen them a million times, they can loose their luster.  So, looking for something fun we can all do I hit the internet!

Elmo Review

Last Sunday we got the amazing chance to see one of my kids favorite shows on stage, Elmo!  As we pulled into the parking garage my daughter surprised me by asking if we were going to see the big red dog.  We had seen Clifford at the same Theater about a month ago and she remembered even the parking garage enough to ask!  I told her that he had gone home, but that we were going to see Elmo instead. We got there early and found our seats, the stage was all light up and so were the kids!

Clifford Review

On Saturday we treated the kids for being very well behaved by taking them to their first Theater production!  Naturally, it was a kids show, Clifford the Big Red Dog!  It was a live musical at the Comerica Theater in Phoenix.  Check out how it went!

Olive Festival!

I love exposing the kids to knew things, the fact that I love olives and wine is just a bonus. So, when the hubby sent me a link to the Olive Festival, my first thought was I have the best hubby ever (he isn't a fan of olives or wine) and my second was what a fun thing to do outside with the kids.  We planned for the afternoon on Sunday to head out after naps and got there at the end.  The kids still had a blast and I still got to do a little shopping!

Basant Mela

On March 26 this year we decided to go outside and enjoy a culture other than our own!  We found out about the local Pakistan Event Basant Mela and felt it would be perfect for our little ones.  Basant Mela is the Kite Festival.  We both wondered if there would be a great mixing of mainly people from Pakistan at the festival.  I was surprised at just how many showed!

Renaissance Faire Review

We went to the Renaissance Faire on Saturday for the first time. It was set up in an adorable fashion with the buildings taking you back to a different time. It was supposed to be the History weekend, but I'll be honest I'm not sure what set it apart from the other weekends. They did have a section that showed how things were made in the old days which I found very cool and appreciated, plus they had royalty which included a very loud queen whom one vender claimed would offer her jests at those trying the various games.

Sea Life: Meet Ziva Event Review

On Sunday I was excited to attend a very special event!  It was for Ziva's arrival!  We all started in the play area where you usually end your tour.  The kids all took their shoe's off per the sign and went nuts.  I still love how this play area has aquariums in it for the kids to check out the lobster or visit the fish when they need a brake from climbing up to the yellow submarine in the sky.  My 1 year old was a little too small for this, but his sister my 2 year old had a blast!  As we waited for the rest of the bloggers to arrive the kids went crazy crawling, sliding, and climbing!

Circus Vargas Review

So, I went to Circus Vargas two Saturdays ago and unfortunately that weekend my entire family got sick with bronchitis which then led me to get tonsillitis.  Thus, the late review.  A circus is a moment in your childhood where the imagination comes to life.  It is full of possibility and wonder mixed in with a bit of the macabre fascinations our minds encounter as a child.  Often we see the excitement of things and miss the stuff our parents catch or see as flaws.  My review will touch on the things I saw as a parent and the enjoyment I saw as a parent in my child while attending Circus Vargas.

Renaissance Faire!!!!

A bit of whimsy is what every child's life deserves and a bite of Turkey Leg doesn't hurt either!  This year I will be writing a review for the upcoming Renaissance Festival here in AZ come March.  I offer you some coupons to visit the festival yourself and comment here about your experience!  So, gather your beer steins, wings, knight wear, and corseted dresses and take a trip back in time with me!  The dates for the Festival are February 11 - April 1, 2012 at 12601 East Highway 60, Apache Junction!

Circus Vargas!

Clowns! I'm not sure if the kids will like them or not.  You always see them as either a source of pleasure or extreme fear on TV.  I think my kids will either be bored by them or find them hilarious.  I'm torn though and have concerns the fear reaction will be the one presenting.  We will soon find out.  I have been asked to review the Circus Vargas when it comes to Phoenix!!!  I will be going February 11th 2012 and posting my thoughts, experiences and overall review of the event after that.  Because I try to make sure not to leave my followers out without giving them a deal and you want to check it out for yourself you can use this link for Coupon Codes for $15 and $25 Off!

Sea Life Event Review Phoenix AZ

I visited Sea Life's Santa Claws event today in Phoenix, AZ.  Santa Claws is a giant lobster whose tank is decorated with a beard and a Santa Hat!  Sea Life is an aquarium geared to children.  It has a theater that talks about the latest exhibits and animals, feel me tanks, multiple bubble views, intricate tank shapes, a large children's play area, and a gift shop.  Now, Santa Claws himself is moving to a sister Sea Life location, but the Santa Claw's event will go from the 19th to January 1, 2012.

Mother's Day

There were many different things to do today for mother’s day! So many places in Phoenix were offering deals to celebrate! We decided to go ahead and take on the deal for free admission to mothers and grandmothers at the Children's Museum. It was, as I found, a workout and mental stressor for the mom's, but a total blast for the kids.
