I am always looking for ways to keep the kids busy, maybe learn a little bit in the process, and making a holiday decoration is always a bonus.  So, what do you do when you have kids with busy fingers at home?  Raid the recycle bin and make a fun friend!

Trick or Treat bag!

 Each year we end up getting new Halloween buckets.  Last years end up lost, broken because they are cheap, or somehow as decorations for the house.  So, why not make your own that can be used year after year?

Light up the Holidays

 I love decorations!  I love the holidays and making a home look different than it normally does.  It creates a sense of fun and excitement that fuels smiles and laughter.  What I love more is decorations created from the heart that leave you with a great memory and story!  

Tree of Growth Autumn fun!

Kids grow up so fast!  Each season it seems like they have already changed so much that the moments I just had are already being replaced with new moments.  Trying to capture those moments can be hard, but with some kid powered imagination it can also be a lot of fun!

Window Cling fun!

It can be hard to decorate the windows for Halloween.  So many of the decorations are more adult in theme.  The Blood splatters, creepy creatures and such can be a little much for a little one.  So, let's make some window clings that are kid friendly and fun!

Pinecone Ornament

Sometimes, putting the pine-cones back on a tree is a great idea! I love getting the kids involved and making the home more colorful with something out of their own mind!  So, we went out and gathered some lonely fallen pine-cones to take home.  The kids loved rescuing the fallen pine-cones.

Why not start a new tradition of Thanks Cards?  You can have the kids make a card all their own of why they are thankful for each person attending your thanksgiving dinner to be read around the table!  Even better, you can make a great centerpeice with the kids to double as a card holder! I love flowers!  I love even more when companies utilize local growers if possible.  The flowers do better in the environment since they were raised in it and it helps the economy around me.

Candlelight without the mess!

Nearly all seasons call for candles. They’re used to adorn balconies, patios, dinner tables, parties and special occasions. However, some candles can be problematic depending upon their usage. Here in Arizona, wax tends to melt creating a huge mess!  Candles are so romantic and soothing, luckily there is a way around this big mess!  Battery-operated candles provide the joy of using candles without any problems traditional candles present. Battery-operated candles help prevent fires, provide lovely dining light, provide glow without the smoke and provide a safe way to use candles around children and animals.

It's the luck of the toddler!  This craft makes a great center piece or just decoration for the end table and is fun for your little one to make!  Why not turn an old milk jug into a Pot-Of-Gold?

 A house should be full of love so why not express it on the walls. The definition of love is a great message to help the house remember during hard times during good times, that is is full of love.  I personally love the new wall decal trend in decorating and have put up decals in both my kids room so now it was time to think about the rest of the house.  So, I headed over to Urban Walls to check out what they had.
